You can substitute the item you are standing on for anything as long as it is sturdy, can support your weight, and will not move when you press on it.


How To

  1. Stand upright with feet closer than shoulder-width apart and facing forward on top of a step.
  2. While holding onto the bar with an overhand grip slightly wider than shoulder-width, rotate your wrists to unhook the bar.
  3. While keeping your legs straight, exhale and press up through the ball of your feet and your toes to press yourself up.
  4. Continue until you can no longer stand up any further on your toes.
  5. Inhale and lower yourself down, returning to the starting position.
  6. Place the bar back on the hooks.
